We broke out our new continent box of Antarctica Friday.

I have a sensory continent card, penguin life cycle chart, penguin 3-part cards, animals of Antarctica, and a Penguin Toob. The kiddos LOVED it! We have lots of winter, snow, and Antarctica books on our display shelf right now.

The girls are proud of their new box and all the goodies! They spread it all out on our new mats (from Walmart), Montessori-style!

We matched penguins to the cards and learned about the different kinds.

We made a rubbing (sort of) out of the sensory card.

Then, Tori and I explored some prepositions with a penguin printable: above, below, beside, on, left, right, etc.

Preposition Work

I found this great penguin FFG that I recommissioned as a Build a Sight Word game.

I wrote cold words on the penguin signs and Tori matched up the letters on the other penguins. She loved it.

Penguin File Folder Game

We played a fun penguin feeding game.

Antarctica is a pretty cool place and we love penguins!
